Life Drawing Classes

Our life drawing classes will start on Tuesday 11th March 2008, and will comprise of ten sessions over ten weeks duration.

The class will be run and hosted by Valentin Petrov, a highly skilled and respected figurative artist with with extensive knowledge and experience in portraiture, life drawing and anatomy.

A highly skilled oil painter Valentin studied Fine Art in Bulgaria from 1980 the early 1990`s.

He was accepted into the special school of fine art, Kazanluk, Bulgaria in 1980 and graduated with Diploma and Gold medal.

In 1988 moved to Sofia, and studied at the renowned Academy of Fine Art, specialising in drawing and painting.
Valentin came to Britain in 1993 from Sofia and has been resident in Glasgow since 2001.
A successful artist, he is now a member of Glasgow's thriving Artist Community, and is a studio member of WASPS where he has currently a studio in the south Block King Street.

The classes will involve.

Life drawing with a live model, anatomy study, composition, study of space and volume, and an investigation of the various media involved in the creation of a drawn art work.

Materials used will initially be charcoal, and other media later on.

The time of the class will be 7pm till 9.30pm.

Because of the nature of this class it will be necessary to turn up promptly and on time.

The cost which will be all inclusive is £220.00 for the ten sessions.
